IHP's Web Design Process

Step 1 - Submit Your Website Intake Form (You)

Remember – your website will be customized; the information your provide on the intake form helps Cathy design a website suited to your style and taste.

Step 2 - How Many Pages? (You)

The number of pages you want will determine the Website Plan you need. Our lowest cost plan (Basic Plan) includes six pages:

  • Home Page
  • Contact Page
  • Services Page
  • About Page
  • Testimonials Page
  • Booking Page

If you decide you would rather a different page or pages other than those shown here, IHP will substitute. The goal is to not exceed six pages.

Step 3 - Payment (You)

Go to our Products page and choose which plan you want; you will be led through the payment process.

Step 4 - Let's Talk (You and Cathy)

Let’s Talk!

You’ve completed your intake form, decided how many pages you want, and made payment. Now it’s time for us to talk. Having a conversation helps me better understand where you’re coming from and what you want your website to look like and “feel” like. You will get to know me a little better and I’m happy to answer any questions you have and discuss your ideas for your website. Win-Win.

Step 5 - Website Development (Cathy)

I will take the information you provided on your Website Intake along with any additional information gained from our conversation to begin the creation process. While in development, other people will see an “Under Construction” page but you will have access to your site. This way, you can ask questions and make comments during the design phase.

Step 6 - Website & Email Hosting Setup (You and Cathy)

I will establish your web hosting account on the most reliable and fastest hosting provider on the globe today. And I will also configure your professional email account(s). For example, yourname@yourwebsite.com.

Step 7 - Site Launch! (You and Cathy)

After final edits and testing, I will launch your new website to your domain. Your website is now out there for the world to see! 

Step 8 - Submit to the Search Engines (Cathy)

I will submit your website to Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

Step 9 - Manage Your Site (Who?)

Your site is now launced but you will want to always make sure your website provides up-to-date information to your site visitors. This can be in the form of blogs, information about new services (or new staff), specials your having, etc.

IHP Biz Tools provides free video training on how to manage your website. Feel free to take advantage of this training. But if you would prefer I manage your website for you, please know there is an additional fee of $99 per hour ($49/hour for non-profit organizations) to create content, research images, add links, new pages or posts, etc. 

Don’t forget, I am going to take care of the maintenance on your website (which is what part of the monthly fee covers; the rest covers hosting). This ensures your site’s software is updated as soon as it is released and that your site isn’t hacked or any way “messed up.”
